Arrival to Your Massage: For in-office massage, please arrive for your appointment at least 5 minutes ahead of time. For mobile massage appointments, please be ready for my arrival at least 20 minutes ahead of your scheduled start appointment, which allows for enough time to set up a massage space in your home or office space. If our session is delayed due to your tardiness, your sevice(s) will be shortened, and the original appointment length with be charged.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable credit card retainer fee for the full service is required to book all sessions. Unless there is an emergency, clients will be expected to pay for the full session if an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. A pre-paid session may be rescheduled up to two times, with at least 24-hours notice. Cancellations will be accepted via voicemail, text message, and/or email. Clients who fail to show up twice for a scheduled appointment will no longer be able to schedule appointments. Anyone presenting symptoms of a contagious illness should reschedule their appointment. Appointments are transferrable to other eligible clients.
Informed Consent: Your treatment plan will be discussed with you prior to each session. During your first visit and once annually, please be ready to set aside 5-10 extra minutes to fill out an intake form and sign a copy of the policy statement.
Scope of Practice: I am a massage therapist licensed in the State of Oregon, and I am held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). I do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions, and I am required to refer you to a medical professional if any situation during the massage session seems like it should be evaluated by a physician. A doctor’s note may be required before continuing the massage.
Client and Practitioner Expectations: If at any time the you would like me to adjust the pressure, table temperature, face cradle, bolster, focus on an area longer, adjust the music volume, or adjust anything else, please let me know. You may choose to leave on any amount of clothing that you feel comfortable in, and you will be modestly draped, exposing only the areas being worked on. The both the client and therapist can choose to stop the massage at any time for any reason. Sexual conversation or interaction is never appropriate at any time, and will result in termination of the massage with the full fee charged, and the client and therapist relationship will be permanently terminated.
Confidentiality and Discussion: Anything that is discussed during your appointment is confidential. Please know that I may be required to release documents under a court order. During your session, you may choose to talk or remain silent, and as your massage therapist, I am happy to listen, but please know that I cannot give advice that is out of my scope of practice, such as mental health recommendations. During the session, I prefer to keep the space neutral by avoiding discussion topics of a religious or political nature.
Types of Services Offered: I offer a range of massage modalities, including deep tissue / therapeutic, swedish, thai/shiatsu blend massage (floor and table), myofascial release, aromatherapy, cupping, gua sha, prenatal massage, foot reflexology, sports massage, assisted stretching, breath work, and chair massage. Services are offered via mobile massage at remote locations, such as homes and offices.
Cost and Payments Accepted: For individual massages, I charge a flat fee, plus travel costs if applicable. The current advertised travel fee covers services within 20 miles round-trip of my home in SW Bend. An additional $2/mile will be charged for extra travel costs and time. Rates are subject to change at any time.
Privacy Policy: Your medical records are kept in a secure place, and only those who need to see your file for legitimate professional purposes will have access to them. Your records will not will not be discussed or released to a third party unless your written permission has been acquired. Your documents may be released under a court order.
